The 11th 2025 Theory and Technique International Aerosol Conference (11th 2025 T&T IAC)

Bangi, 4 August 2025. The Air Quality and Atmospheric Science Research Group, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, together with the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology, organised the 11th 2025 Theory and Technique International Aerosol Conference (11th 2025 T&T IAC) from 4 to 5 August 2025 at UKM Bangi. The conference, themed “Aerosol Science for Sustainability: Bridging Insights, Mitigation, and Policy,” was held in collaboration with the Malaysian Association for Aerosol and Air Quality Research (MAAQR) and the Taiwan Association for Aerosol Research (TAAR). Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Management and Science University (MSU), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Sarawak Branch, and the Malaysian Clean Air Society (MyCAS) also served as co-organisers. The conference was officially opened by Prof. ChM. Dr. Ishak Ahmad, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, representing the Vice-Chancellor of UKM.

The Theory and Technique International Aerosol Conference (T&T IAC) is a prestigious conference organised annually by the Taiwan Association for Aerosol Research (TAAR) in collaboration with its partners across the Asian region. This edition at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia attracted more than 200 participants from both local and international institutions. International participants, mainly from Taiwan and Indonesia, were also joined by researchers from Germany, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, India, and Pakistan. The conference featured four keynote presentations, 53 oral presentations, and 65 poster presentations. Nine industry representatives also showcased their latest products related to aerosol and air quality research. Tai & Chyun Associates Industries, Inc. from Taiwan was the main sponsor of the two-day conference. Representatives from various agencies also attended, including the Department of Environment Malaysia, the Meteorological Department, and the Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB) Sarawak.
